Frequently asked questions:-
Q:- How can high blood pressure damage the eyes?
ANS:- It may appear like it’s not related. However, restricted blood flow in any part of your body can cause damage to the blood vessels in your retina.
Patients diagnosed with hypertension usually slowly develop eye diseases. These diseases start with common symptoms. For instance, some include inflammation, blurry vision, and loss of clarity.
Q:- How can uncontrolled sugar level cause damage to the eyes
(Vision problems)?
ANS:- A condition called diabetic retinopathy can affect your vision over time when you have uncontrolled blood sugar levels. The excess glucose causes damage to the vessels in your retina, which is part of the back of the eye. Symptoms include blurry vision and poorer daytime and night time vision. Left untreated, diabetic retinopathy causes vision loss.
